Tuesday to Friday, on schedule
The week your commissioner used to run by hand
Every step below used to be a person with a spreadsheet and a Sunday-night deadline. Now it's a schedule. Here's the full rhythm, in order.
Tue & Thu · 10:00 AM
Reminders go out
Anyone without picks in gets nudged automatically. No more chasing people by text.
Reminders only go to players who are missing picks — the ones who already submitted never hear about it. The commissioner sees a live list of stragglers on the dashboard.
Thu · 8:00 PM ET
Picks lock
Everyone gets a lock confirmation with their picks — a receipt, so "I emailed you my picks" disputes are history.
The lock is a scheduled job, not a person staying up. Confirmations list every pick across every contest and entry. Revisions before the lock are timestamped; after the lock, nothing moves.
Sun–Mon · As games finish
Scores settle live
Games sync every few minutes. Standings, eliminations, and the pot update the moment results are final.
Scores sync from live NFL data on a minutes-level cadence during game windows. If a result is corrected upstream, scoring re-runs automatically — outcomes are recomputed, never hand-edited.
Fri · 8:00 AM
The digest lands
Full results, who's alive, who's out, and what's at stake — with an intro line written in your commissioner's own voice.
One email with everything: weekly winners, survivor casualties (and the picks that did it), pot movement, and next week’s deadlines. The opening line is the commissioner’s — written, not generated.
If a result changes, everything recomputes
Outcomes are calculated from game data, never typed in. A stat correction on Tuesday re-runs scoring, restandings every contest, and adjusts the pot — with the change visible in the ledger. Nobody edits a cell; there is no cell.
Pot ledger
Every buy-in, payout, and carryover is an entry in a running ledger anyone in the league can read. The pot ticker at the top of every screen shows what’s at stake right now.
Pick history
Every pick and every revision is timestamped. When someone claims they "definitely took the Chiefs," the revision history is the referee.
Tombstone standings
Eliminated entries stay in the standings with the pick that killed them. Cruel? A little. Accurate? Completely.
Lock receipts
The Thursday lock email lists every pick across every contest and entry — the modern version of “resend your original email.” If it’s in the receipt, it counts. If it isn’t, it doesn’t.
